In the 2008-09 budget, the government provided increased funding for eleven police officers who will work in the Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) to protect Saskatchewan children from sexual exploitation over the Internet.

  • ensures offenders are held directly accountable to the individual or community affected by the criminal act;

  • recognizes that offenders can take responsibility for their actions;

  • provides victims with access to correctional processes that allows them to shape offender obligations; and

  • encourages communities to become directly involved in supporting victims, holding offenders accountable and providing opportunities for offenders to re-integrate into the community.
