Examination & Certification Boiler Operator Special ExaminationsIn part, the following explains the requirements in The Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act and Regulations: A candidate for an examination who is unable to take the examination at a regular sitting may apply to take the examination on a special date or a special location. Regular sittings consist of the Regina and Saskatoon examination sitting found on the http://www.cps.gov.sk.ca/ website and the regularly scheduled SIAST Kelsey Campus, SIIT Meadow Lake, and Lloydminster (Husky BPU) sittings that are open to candidates outside these organizations where space is available. Dates and availability to write an examination at these locations can be confirmed by calling the office. All requirements noted within the "Application Process for Boiler Operator Examinations" informational bulletin must be complied with in addition to the following information: An application for a special examination shall provide as a minimum the candidate's reasons for the application and the proposed location and time for the examination. Special examinations are further subject to additional fees and will be invoiced following the examination sitting as outlined. An hourly charge of $40 ($80 on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays) will apply to conduct the examination, including one hour of setting-up time. Additionally, the hourly charge will apply to travel by the examiner and all reasonable travel, meals, and accommodation expenses incurred by the examiner. |
