Under the ministry's Violence Reduction Strategy, the Supportive Employment Initiative will help offenders connect with employers as a way to integrate back into the community.

Learn Not To Burn® is a fire and burn prevention program for school aged children. The current edition of Learn Not To Burn® for kindergarten to grade 3 was introduced to schools in the mid 1990s. Curriculum binders and resource books were distributed at teacher in-service workshops and conventions. The Learn Not To Burn Preschool Program for children 3 to 5 years of age has been distributed to over 600 preschools and day care centres in the province. Information on Learn Not to Burn Preschool program materials can be obtained from the Office of the Fire Commissioner or by downloading the Information Form.
