![]() Did You Know In the 2008-09 budget, the government provided increased funding for eleven police officers who will work in the Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) to protect Saskatchewan children from sexual exploitation over the Internet. Saskatchewan Emergency Management Organization (SaskEMO) Training and EducationFederal Training The Canadian Emergency Management College is situated in the Federal Study Centre at 1495 Heron Road in Ottawa, Ontario. The College is approximately 8 km from downtown Ottawa. The courses offered by CEMC focus on the management of a multi-service/agency response to an emergency. Other aspects of emergency planning and management are also addressed in other courses, seminars and workshops. Applications to attend the courses should be made using the CEMC Application for Course Enrolment form, and this form should be approved and signed by your local EMO Coordinator prior to forwarding it to SaskEMO. Applications for all CEMC courses should be submitted at least two months before the course begins. CEMC pays for transportation to and from the College, in accordance with Treasury Board guidelines. CEMC also provides lunches and accommodations at no cost to municipal and provincial employees while on CEMC courses. |
