Recalls, Warnings and Advisories Xbox Power Cord Recall Microsoft has announced a voluntarily recall of power cords on over 14 million Xbox game consoles. The company received reports of power supply cords overheating and, in about 30 cases, causing minor fire damage. The recall affects all Xbox units manufactured before October 23rd in 2003. Owners can get a free replacement power cord from Microsoft. Microsoft is telling Xbox users to turn off and unplug their units until a replacement cord arrives.
